  No. Once you recycle the hard drive/disk, it goes to China and they have all sorts of programs to suck out info from the disk. On the other hand, this may be unlikely because all my disks are Linux :-). What places do you know about?

  Well, I already have 5 of these drives and most of them are fairly tiny. Some of them do not work any more, either. (I guess those would be safe to get rid of.) I just wish there were a service where you could have the drive shredded and be done with it.

  Sorry. Looks like it won't help you. It only seems to measure raw "movement hours", not non-idle hours. You could try Cratchit Timetool: cratchit.org . This is what I use at my work, but you have to have the discipline to start and stop the clock.
