Subject: Is there any way to make DDWin recognize from a specific
vocabulary?
Product: DragonDictate for Windows
Version:
Description:
Is there any way to make DDWin recognize from a specific vocabulary?
Solution:
The only way to make DragonDictate for Windows look to a specific
vocabulary or vocabulary group, denoted by a yellow folder in the
Vocabulary Manager, is by using the ListenFromGroup or SetHomeGroup
commands. However, the ListenFromGroup command only affects the next
word that you speak and then DDWin will go back to the current
application's vocabulary or Dictate Mode. SetHomeGroup (only available
in DDWin 2.x or higher) remains in the specified group until you say
[Command Mode] or [Dictate Mode].
This is typically very useful if you have a small group of words that
you want DDWin to keep recognizing from, a little tedious if you have
a large group of words such as an entire X/Windows application that
cannot get it's own vocabulary because you are running it under
emulation and DDWin only sees the name of your emulation software, not
what's running in it.
For more information regarding ListenFromGroup and SetHomeGroup (and
all other Scripting commands) please use the "Macro Language Help"
icon in the DragonDictate 3.0 program group.
You can also use one of the Developer Tools from Dragon Systems called
DragonXTools to constrain your vocabularies.
