Dragon Systems Technical Support [0.56?OpenElement&FieldElemFormat=gif] Technical Note Subject: Why does DDWin sometimes give me a space at the beginning of a line? Product: DragonDictate for Windows Version: Description: Why does DDWin sometimes give me a space at the beginning of a line? Solution: That will happen if you use [Enter Key] to get a new line. [New Paragraph], however, should suppress leading spaces on the ensuing line. Double check the Voicebar to see if the No Space flag appears after you say [New Paragraph] and/or [New Line]. This behavior also occurs if you end one sentence at the very end of a line, then continue dictating the next sentence. By default, DDWin sends two spaces after a period, so if the first space drops you down to the next line, the second one could give you an unnecessary space at the beginning of the next line. To prevent this behavior, and because most word processors provide the proper formatting after a period, select Options from the Voice Menu and choose the Dictation tab. On the Dictation tab, change "Spaces After Period" to 1.
