Zipcar: Application Status



Dear robert,

Thanks for applying to Zipcar!  We normally receive a response from our 
insurance right away (if you are obtaining your own driving record as required 
by some States and outside the U.S, we will be waiting for you to fax this 
information to us at 617-995-4300). We'll let you know as soon as your 
application has been processed. 

Please read this letter through to the end; it is important!

While your application is being processed, we need to take you through an 
orientation and assign you a Zipcard.  We'll  mail the Zipcard today (or the 
next business day) to your home address, unless you've indicated otherwise.

Please take time to read the membership contract (http:
//www.zipcar.com/boston/member-contract), which we will ask you to sign at the 
orientation.  Also be sure to read the Rules of Vehicle Use (http:
//www.zipcar.com/rules-of-vehicle-use) and Policy of Penalties (http:
//www.zipcar.com/penalties).  These documents are part of the membership 
agreement and on acceptance of membership you are attesting to having read and 
understood them.

If you haven't already, you can get oriented either in-house and in-person, or 
online.  If you haven't oriented in 60 days, you will have to re-apply for 
membership. So, choose between:

ORIENTATION AT ZIPCAR'S OFFICE where you'll get to meet a staff person, orient 
with other members, and get to know us and the service better. Sign yourself 
up here:  http://www.zipcar.com/orientation/  The orientation will take about 
40 minutes.

ORIENTATION ONLINE will take about 20 minutes in a quiet location and is way 
less fun. Please don't hesitate to call or write if there are any matters that 
are not clear to you. Completing and submitting the online orientation also 
signifies that you have read and understood the membership documents noted

Your user name at our web site is robertb.junk.  You'll be able to make 
reservations as soon as you've gone through the orientation, are approved by 
our insurance company and have your Zipcar in hand.
