Although this investigation is enlightening, I think Richard Wolff hit the
nail on the head that these sorts of statistics are really only for
employers and investors and don't really help the regular old worker --
who already know if they or their friends are unemployed and looking for a
job.

The elimination of these sorts of government statistics will definitely
slow down markets and probably innovation (like in China).  Whether that
affects the average working stiff, only time will tell.
