Interesting. I think the danger that Taibbi points to is real, and may be
the same corner that Cuba painted itself into by being forced to make the
United States its enemy and pouring all of its resources into its military
-- that failing to talk with the other side may result in insular
thinking, creating paranoia, and becoming constantly defensive.
