I agree with security experts that having a single point of failure could
be a complete disaster.
But, this is probably by design. By permitting a meltdown of government
programs via security failures, this could be used as an argument to
dismantle Social Security, government pensions, Medicare, and Medicaid,
and replace it with privatized systems instead.
