    I think University of CA,Santa Barbara has a good robotics program?But that's 300 miles south of here. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo(200 miles south of here)is also good.

        How old is he? He thinks you can get him a job? The way to get a job(if you can't get a paying one) is to volunteer and then you meet people who may know of jobs, that's the way you get a job. Don't apply on websites. You have to talk to real people.Rober...

  I provided some scant advice. It will probably take several drafts, just like it does for me. Writing something out once, then trying to come up with an outline for the argument, and then writing it again is probably best.

    Your advice may have been scant, but I think that's what he needs right now. He needs to focus and get it done. He needs a kick in the pants. I was worried about the praising of laziness in his college essay, so I thought your advice was good.
