As usual, really enjoyed your letter.

David also has a lot of problem with broken spokes. I haven't had any even 
though I commute twice as far as him. I guess he goes groceries shopping much 
much more often that I do. I fell off my bike in September on my way home form 
work and broke my wrist. It required surgery and I was in a cast for 3 months. 
That's way too long. Now the cast is off but I have lost 90% of the 
functionality on my wrist.
