Dear friends,
I received an email from a friend regarding 23 domesticated bunnies abandoned on the side of a road near Portola Valley 3 months ago. Because there are so many misconceptions/misinformation about rabbits, most people do not know how to properly house and care for them. They cannot live outdoors and be exposed to the elements. When well educated, a bunny can be a great addition to a family! Your help can make the difference between life and death for these bunnies!
I am reaching out to you in hopes of asking for your help in finding potential adopters and foster homes! The holidays are difficult for bunnies as they are often given up by their owners around this time. and baby bunnies are often given as poorly thought out gifts! They need some space to run, have a certain amount of hay, and need companionship, just like a cat or dog! Rabbits do best with adults and kids 8yrs and up as well as many other household pets.
