I would be happy to speak with you regarding > your concerns and I can be reached at 510-768-4445 between the hours > of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. I have been unsuccessful in reaching you. I'll respond via e-mail. My friend said that Barilone said "the public schools are just a holding place until they get to the next holding place -- Folsom or Pelican Bay." But, despite this, Bariloni is encouraging her to do teaching because he thinks her getting another IT job is hopeless. He continually discourages her, telling her that it's not worth going to school because no one will want to hire her at 60 years old when she gets out. He also discourages her from various job search methods, including cold calling. He allegedly has a handle on all the local companies which are hiring and those that are moving or outsourcing, yet he's basically telling her to forgot nearly every local company because he was told they are moving or outsourcing (when I have concrete proof to the contrary). Nick Bariloni obviously does not know his job and is no counselor, and should be replaced as quickly as possible so someone may possibly get some good advice instead of bogus advice and constant discouragement. I don't know what more can be said. > I look forward to hearing from you. > Thank you, > > Harriet Nixon > Special Programs Coordinator-Re-Tec Grant > Oakland Private Industry Council
