I think we should say: Hello, my name is Robert. I got your name from DBM/The Mercury News/whatever. I'm interested in a position in information technology. Who would I need to talk to? ... And what is their e-mail address? ... Thank you! and then send a resume to them. We should print out http://jobsmart.org/hidden/asher1.cfm so that if there are any barriers, we can use the tried-and-true scripts. The most important thing is not to ever get nasty so we don't burn any bridges by accident. If one of us does, then the other can contact them. I think we should do this at http://www.Prosearch.org and each of us uses one of the two phones in there. This way, we can get instant feedback. What do you think?
