No. About 15 minutes into my one interview, the interviewer reveals to me that there are, in fact, no positions currently open, but that he's interviewing me in case some positions do open up. Ugh. My aunt (Judy) thinks I should wait until I get laid off instead of looking for positions. Given that my company still haven't sold anything or even have any contract signed, I suspect we won't make it past the end of February or March. > My first week was pretty hectic. I'm getting to know people fairly quick, and it seems like > there might well be good opportunities here. Sounds excellent. I would never be able to be a manager since I generally don't like dealing with people -- I'm more comfortable with machines. The USA and the fascist/pro-corporate laws that being passed is getting really scary. The problem is, even if we were to move to another country (e.g., Canada), the tentacles of America seem to reach everywhere -- I don't know if there's escape. Anyway, I guess we'll deal the best we can... Keep in touch! > -- > Mark Reimers, Ph.D, > Manager, Sequence Analysis Center > Karolinska Institute > Stockholm > 46-8-728-7826
