veg-boston: New Year's Eve - Vegetarian First Night

--- Forwarded mail from "Bill R." <http://www.earthlink.net/~itsbill>

Greetings All,

JOIN US for First Night on New Year's Eve and usher in the new Millennium
with the fellowship of Boston's vegetarian community. Members and
friends of the Boston Vegetarian Society (BVS) will be gathering to share this
experience.

Maybe you know someone who would like to give peas a chance in 2000.
Invite along anyone you know who is making a resolution to start the new
century meat-free so we can support them !

Where: Copley Square in front of the CVS at 587 Boylston Street, facing
Copley Square (Copley Square stop on Green Line T is right nearby.) We
will go from there to many of the First Night events in the vicinity.

When: Assemble 12/31 at 7:00 PM

How: Meet with your First Night button in hand. This button grants
you entry to all general admission events and can be purchased in advance
at various locations throughout greater Boston for $20.

Why: Because who else would you rather spend New Year's eve with, as
all four digits of the year turn over, than with friendly people who share
values and goals of living healthfully, peacefully, and harmoniously
with animals and the earth, and each other!

Final notes:

1) When you arrive at CVS, look for us next to, but not blocking, the
entryway. Just ask if it's the BVS group!

2) We will wait until 7:30 PM before we depart from our meeting place at
CVS. Please aim for 7:00 so that you can participate in choosing which
events we'll attend! (If it's a big group, we may divide up according
to interests.)

3) Try to review the programs schedule in advance for ideas of which
events you want to see.

4) Dress warmly!

5) Pack a snack if you think you may get hungry. Eating places may be
crowded or not offer suitable food.

6) We look forward to sharing this once-in-a-lifetime experience with
*you*!
