I was wondering if I could find a job where I would work from home; I really enjoy being alone during the day and not having the burden of interacting with people. In any case, I don't expect to get a job 'til maybe next summer or even fall of 2003. In the meanwhile, I've been enjoying working on my own projects. And I'm still enjoying my time off. I get to ride my bike more, get to go to the local Farmer's Market in Brookline, and have been doing small things on the house. > Hope things are well. > I'm doing ok. Did you do Tae Kwan Do before? I think Mike Scary did that, right? In any case, I haven't done any marital arts anything since I took Judo as a kid (12 years old); oh, but there was that one Tai Chi class, but that was only 2 months. > Say "Hi" to Noelle for me. Sure. Noelle's car is starting to die. The transmission is screwed up -- it shifts only after the engine goes to a high RPM (unless you play with the manual shifter). We were told it would take over $1000 to fix. The muffler's also becoming louder and louder. We're thinking of going carless and signing up for ZipCar and renting cars when necessary. Noelle's car insurance comes up for renewal in January. Our plan is to try ZipCar under trial starting at the end of October (the trial lasts 2 months) and see how we like it. If we like it, then we'll sell the car (probably for parts). Jello Biafra's going to be coming here (Brookline) in a few weeks. Finally. A small taste of civilization. I think Sleater-Kinney is supposed to be playing here, too. I think The Coup played here a bit ago, but we didn't see them. Oh, I got an e-mail from Guillaume. Remember Guillaume in Less Miserables? I had lost touch with him for a while, but he managed to e-mail me again. Anyway, he lost his job. I know he was living in a squat in Grenoble in France for a while, but don't know if he still is. Also, I got an e-mail from Camilla Ha (Sue Lee's friend). She did a web search on her name and found it on my web page; she then contacted me. She lives in Chicago and (I think) is doing spoken word-type stuff. That's the big news for now. See ya! > Take care, > Kathryn
