Linux is an operating system (an alternative to MS Windows) -- it's Free
Software (as in "free speech"). You-all probably don't run it in your
house since you do a lot of typesetting. But, it may be the
anti-corporate alternative you've been looking for... Look at
http://www.linux.org & http://www.fsf.org & http://www.debian.org
It's all geek stuff, I know, but...

Me, too. I was thinking of some excuse to write you, and this was
perfect... at least, I _think_ it was perfect :-).

Ouch. I've been doing lots of house stuff -- finally getting around to
painting the fence. The weeds are as monstrous as ever. I'm sure our
neighbors love us...

The car's been acting up. Noelle and I have been riding bikes more --
it's actually been kinda nice.

A bicyclist was killed in Cambridge a couple of weeks ago -- under the
rear wheel of a bus. It was sad and tragic. It's the unfortunate reality
of bicycling in Boston.

I went to the Critical Mass last month, but won't make it this month
(tomorrow). Work is just being a pain in the ass.

I actually missed the monthly pro-choice anti-anti-choice demo at the
Planned Parenthood -- first time in 3 years. I'm sure the anti's were
celebrating -- I'm usually the only protester there.

Pretty nifty, 'though your recipes page leaves me feeling a little empty.

Actually, I looked at openwebmail.org. Since you seem to be running it,
that _must_ mean that you have Linux installed somewhere.

See ya!
