In reference to your letter to CACM Aug '99's Forum: I couldn't agree with you more. But, unfortunately, the legislation has been passed and now customers are going to be up-in-the-air for 90 days (3 months). 3 months is a long time and I think that your final statement "I hope we are all up to the challenge" is perhaps moot at this point. We're all going to be screwed for 90 days and that's that!
