abusive/yelling boss

Hi.  How do you-all deal with a boss who yells at people?  My S.O., Noelle
(an INFJ), gets yelled at by her boss and it upsets her.  I've suggested
that she set up a meeting with her boss and just tell her that it upsets
her, so her boss at least knows her feelings.  She's looking for another
job, anyway.

I know this is easier said than done.  In my work environment, one of my
bosses uses racial slurs frequently and it bothers me, and I haven't done
anything equivalent myself.  (I do not work for this boss directly so it's
fairly easy for me to avoid this boss.  The only problem is the bi-weekly
pizza meetings, which is a rather unpleasant affair in itself, but
especially because of this boss.  I usually try to eat quickly and sneak
away.)
