Sorry if this has already been asked, but I've been having problems with 4.16beta.52 in xterms on Linux 2.0.0. It seems that insert redisplay is in correct. It appears that some sort of an insert mode is on, but that, in addition to the actual character getting inserted, a space is also inserted causing the display to be incorrect. For example, if my original line is: foobar and I insert an 'x' at the beginning of this line, the resulting line is: x foobar Upon hitting ESC-^L, this line is redrawn as: xfoobar Since my TERMCAP variable is not set, I assume that /etc/termcap is being used. Has this problem been fixed in a later version? Is this a known bug?
