I don't know if you can automate that search to work with key ID instead 
of email address.  It would be more reliable, but it would also require 
the PGP program to spit out the ID from the signature, where the email 
search can be performed based on the easily obtained "From:" line.  

It gets confusing when a user has a lot of email addresses.  Especially 
if they are not all on the key as key IDs (like mine).

You should have better luck finding my key now.  This is essentaily my 
"primary" address, though even that will change in a few months.
