Looking at this, it's obvious that, although defense spending could easily
be cut, just keeping the same level of spending would be sufficient to
keep things in control. And, Social Security is not a real problem. It's
Medicare and Medicaid which will end up being a problem, slowly eating up
all of government spending, maximizing in 2085.
Clearly, it's government revenues that are a big problem. Either taxes or
fees need to be raised, or more strict enforcement of revenue gathering,
or both, need to be done.

increasing the corporate tax to its historical levels would be the best
low-hanging fruit; increasing taxes on upper incomes would be the next
easiest. The slow dismantling of programs by the Trump administration are
not going to do anything. The most disastrous will be increasing tariffs,
deporting workers, and defunding the IRS, both for the country and for the
people who live here.
