Agreed.  And, the resistance to "going back" on women's rights is an
important piece here: allowing women to make choices on bearing children
and entering the workforce or getting an education is key to the part of
"fewer" [children].

Unfortunately, income inequality also plays into this since, if women
don't have the resources to get an education, then women will have fewer
choices and may resort to entering into unwanted marriages.
