It was definitely a funky script, connecting otherwise completely
unrelated events.
There's very little doubt that there was corruption in the Oakland police
(maybe still is -- don't know), but that point was emphasized in the film.
I was thinking that Sue Lee should see the film, if possible, since one of
the characters is Korean.
The singer who sang for the Operation Ivy band in the film didn't sound
much like the original singer (Jesse, IIRC), but the songs were correct
and so were the lyrics. (Not sure why they chose "Bad Town" for the song;
I would've chosen "Unity" instead since that seemed more pertinent to the
movie.)
And Lint (a.k.a. Tim Armstrong) made an appearance, and it was funny. (I
still remember him as Lint, not sure why.)
Cute movie, but be prepared for lots of fake blood and effects.
