According to https://lost-car-keys-replacement.com/toyota/prius/ , you
should have the key code. Was it written down in any of your paperwork?
If not, that will cost $100 on top of whatever the keysmith charges.
In addition, any keysmith you take the car to should:
1. Make sure they cut you an emergency key, in addition to the key fob.
2. Get the key code so replacing future keys will be easier.
According to https://priuschat.com/threads/lexus-key-card-fob-compatible.89531/ ,
the FCC ID must match for us to use the old key fobs. But, according to
https://iqkeysupply.com/products/smart-remote-for-toyota-prius-pn-89994-47061
and
https://oemcarkeymall.com/products/2015-toyota-prius-keyless-entry-remote-hyq14acx?variant=31841308409956 ,
it looks like they have different FCC IDs. We could bring along the old
key fobs and ask the keysmith if they could be used.
