After watching "Contagion" again, I realize that what's been going on in
the movie in 6 months is what's happening here stretched out over years.
(After seeing that movie again, I'm agast that people weren't completely
freaked out. It could be that people will be freaked out in a few years
when things haven't changed much -- who knows?)
