during McCarthy era there were media gatekeepers supporting him and 
the govt 
officials who allowed him to hold those hearings.
Now there are few gatekeepers and accusations can run wild like what 
is happening to Rovics. and coupled with "minorities" of all sorts 
fed up with aggressions and microaggressions they get their revenge. 
Rovics did mention that the impulse to protect people from bad 
stuff(especially the kids) is a nice one but who knew what that 
would unleash.
