I assume that "I don't like politics" implies that they don't follow
politics, either. Maybe they're just not curious or aren't interested in
news?
I guess people won't really care until they experience an existential
crisis. This is probably why there hasn't been the draft. But, if
there's another depression, they may care. Maybe?
