Unfortunately, as of now, it looks like they are still concerned about maintaining expenses so I can't get approval on this now.
Boris says we can revisit the issue in April.

I suppose Alex' best bet is to continue looking around and ping us again in April if he is still interested/available.

I checked with Patti.  To be an intern you have to be at least a Sophomore, otherwise he has to go as a contractor.  If you want to try to bring him on as contractor let me know and I will see if there is a possibility.
