I have no idea what that is. Does that mean Software Engineering stuff,
like waterfall and agile?

I had a co-worker who was really into Scala. It does sound like a
compelling programming language, but the thing that always held me back
was the fact that it compiled into JVM bytecode, which is a bit slow for
my tastes.

I assume that this also means first order logic. I loved this stuff.
Hopefully, you'll also learn about discrete mathematics, lambda calculus,
computability, and Godel.

Well, C can be a good programming language to learn. I suppose. It'd
probably be just as easy to pick up on your own.

Awesome. You should take more econ classes while at UMass!

Is this like partial derivatives and differential equations? I never got
to take this and have always regretted it.
Sounds like you're diving pretty fast into the computer science stuff.
That's good. It's a blast.
