I went to the gym today.

Along with the temporary membership pass, in order to use the gym, I had
to leave my photo ID at the front desk; I picked up my ID on my way out.

It looks like, after giving them the temporary pass, it takes a couple of
days before Bally can fully process the membership and provide a
permanent membership card.  They said it should be available next time I
go to the gym.

So, I recommend starting this process as early as possible since it seems
so time-consuming.
