I calculated the amount that Macrosoft pays for benefits per month. It's about $2200/month. The biggest expense (unsurprisingly) is health/medical care -- it's about 50% of the monthly expense. The second biggest is retirement -- about 25%. The third biggest is the Caltrain pass -- about 5%. So, $3600 base per month plus $2200 per month for benefits. That means, to keep our current standard of living, I'd have to earn about $93K/year minimum. Phew! I guess if we have to cut back, we probably will have to decide how important our health and retirement are. > From: http://dummy.us.eu.org/robert (Robert) > Date: Sat, 24 Dec 2011 09:47:08 -0800 > > > From: http://dummy.us.eu.org/robert (Robert) > > Date: Sat, 15 Jan 2011 10:54:10 -0800 > > > > > From: http://dummy.us.eu.org/robert (Robert) > > > Date: Sat, 05 Jun 2010 10:03:26 -0700 > > > > > > Forgot about ATM withdrawls.
