Well, I assume you've heard about the Marine getting shot?
I was at the raid Tuesday morning, to witness.
Very intense cop presence! I was not at the demo/march
Tuesday night thankfully. I was at the general assembly
last night where we called for a general strike in Oakland
Nov. 2nd.
Right now people seem to be moving in the same direction, I
think because of the over reaction from the cops, I do hope
it lasts for a while at least.
There seems to be a lot of folks who want to turn this into
their own thing, a Party or a political agenda and that
sucks. all the Marxist/leninists are out in full force now
and the democrats and politicians. Yuck.
take care,

How's OWS Oakland?
I'm kind of involved in OSJ. The older activists
are getting pissed that the younger ones are not
dealing with mentally ill and/or agent
provocateurs effectively. We went to City Council
meeting and this guy stole documents one of the
older people wanted to bring to a meeting with a
city official.
There was some poll about how Young People(I sound
so old) support gay marriage but not abortion
rights so much. They don't like conflict so gay
marriage is more of a feel-good issue? How are you
supposed to conduct consensus meetings when there
are people who don't understand the process, have
their own agendas and don't care? /The opponents
can just sit back and see the activists fight
amongst themselves and disintegrate.
