You'll want the "zip" and "unzip" packages.

You mean, when you plug ethernet jack on the computer into a router or
hub, it is not able to connect to the internet? Is that all it takes for
your Windows computers (plugging and unplugging it)?

You may try unplugging and plugging in the ethernet cable in the short
term. Once you get an internet connection, you'll want to:
$ sudo aptitude install zip unzip
