I'm so glad you found him and YES! His black color makes it very difficult to
spot him. We went through that A LOT when we first got him. He would hide all
over the place and we could never find him until he came out on his own. He
used to really like the bathroom, like it was his safe space, behind the
toilet. We'd come home from work and he would be asleep behind the toilet. He
also liked hopping up on my lap while I was going to the bathroom...
Gracie is very very happy. I haven't heard her purring so much in a loooong
time. She's laying on my chest right now purring away. Definitely a change for
the better in her eyes.
But, we definitely miss Gary. (Well, Gracie doesn't.) I'm sure he'll adjust
fine but in the meantime it's hard not to feel bad for him. Poor kitty. He'll
be just fine though.

I found him wedged between a wall and a shelf. WE are going to keep him in the
bathroom for a while until he gets used to being here. He is really good at
hiding(plus he's black which makes it harder to find him).
How's Gracie doing?

Is he doing any better?
He hid in our house when we acquired him for a while too but I would imagine
being older now, he should adjust better. Hopefully he's settled in to being
playful and cuddly.
