Just came back.

 1) I apparently misunderstood her instructions and said I should've taken
    the antacid in the morning and taken the ibupofen 3 times a day after
    each meal.  It is not to relieve the immediate pain, but rather to
    reduce the inflammation so each week there is less pain.  I should
    continue this for 3 weeks.
 2) If regiment #1 doesn't work, she'll move me to steriodal
    antiinflammatories.  3 more weeks.
 3) After #2 doesn't work, then I get physical therapy.
 4) If #3 doesn't work, then surgery will be discussed.
 5) She referred me to the MRI people (radiology) so I could get an MRI,
    anyway, dispite my misdirection/misunderstanding.  They're supposed to
    call me to set-up an appointment.
