The main dude at that cohousing project, Patri Friedman, is a descent of Milton Friedman and David D Friedman, both libertarian economists.  So, I doubt that his vision is anything like a kibbutz.

So far, I have only met 1 Indian interested in cohousing (I'm not sure if he was Hindu or not) and certainly no Sikhs.  I'm also doubtful that there would be enough room for agriculture as such.  (For my part, I'm more interested in urban living.)
