I'll add these to my "Marnie gift list". However, I already bought one
book for Marnie yesterday.

I had offered to lend them several thousand dollars for 5 years at 0%
interest, and Tim refused to accept it. That money has since gone to
Kathleen (for her business) since she accepted it. So, I don't feel I
have that much to give at this point.

I'm thinking that the entire idea of "money-as-gift" may be a bad one.
(Noelle warned me about this.) Maybe I'll just send the Booksense gift
cards again, and maybe some books like last year.
