Re: the earthquake, I was on the top floor of our building here at the Getty Center, we're on rollers but it always makes the top floor sway a bit more. It was a long one, gently rolling, not jerky at all, but we did all get underneath our desks because of the length. I'm a floor warden so I called out to make sure everyone was safe, but there was no need to evacuate. Power never went out. I do recall the Loma Prieta started out gently rolling so whenever an earthquake seems gentle, I know it has the potential to become worse, so I didn't waste any time.
