Yes.  We might try the loud music and light up there and put up bat
houses around the yard.  This seems to be the best idea.  We don't want
to completely get rid of them.  Like you said, they eat mosquitos.
 
When are you guys coming east for a visit?

I was reminded of your pecan pie. I tried making one vegan, using maple
syrup and cornstarch and soymilk. It's pretty tasty, but sticky(more
like a sticky bun).
If you don't make bathouses, maybe if you play loud heavy metal music in
the attic? But it's good to have bats, they eat the mosquitos who might
have west nile virus.
