Robert . where-I-live July 12, 2008 The Honorable Joe Coto Ca Assembly box 942849 Sacramento, CA 94249-0023 Assemblymember Coto: As your constituent, I am writing to urge you to support Senate Bill 1770, a vital piece of legislation designed to protect Ca reproductive health care providers and their patients from violence and harassment. Over the past several years, Ca health care providers have been targeted by anti-abortion extremists at their homes, received threatening letters, and witnessed a disturbing shooting within a clinic. Already this year, an abortion provider in Northern California was the victim of an attempted arson. These types of violent activities jeopardize the ability of Ca women to access safe and legal abortion care. Senate Bill 1770 would extend the Reproductive Rights Law Enforcement Act sunset date by five years and provide law enforcement with essential tools in the fight to keep Ca providers and patients safe from anti-abortion violence and harassment. Please support this vital legislation! Sincerely, Robert This message has been verified by CapwizXC as authentic and sent by this individual. Authentication ID: [q8703KGW]
