Yeay!! Come over to Portland. I now have a 2nd bedroom if you and Robert want 
to stay here and I will start furnishing it as it is full of boxes.  Let me 
know when so I can block off time, although there may be a conference on 
physician well being/burnout that I go to in Oct every 2 yrs to wish  I would 
not burn out. My new job is better--I work had, but I do not feel abandoned.   
It is a much healthier environment for the staff and the patients.  I would 
like to join the Mazamas but they require scaling a glaciated peak, but there 
is a loophole where you can climb a mtn in the summer without having the 
skills...  Wouldyou like to hike with me to the South Sisters? I am interested 
bec I learned Gary Snyder was a Mazama--I like to see the places he wrote about 
and he wrote about Mt. St Helens when he climbed it in the 40s.  I joined a fan 
website for a movie and I have never had such a great time--there is a grandma 
from Florida who lip synchs and
  performs and gives grandmotherly advice and she says Oy Vey and is in her 
  70s.  I am addicted to this website.  I am getting Eckhart's second book as I 
  enjoyed the first one so much.  As you see I am doing things that take me 
  away from work and wish that I can retire soon.

I would like to go to the national medical records conference in Seattle in
October.Also, Robert wants to go to his old stomping grounds in Olympia. and we

would like to visit you in Portland sometime then too.
Let me know your availability. I have not asked for this time off yet, nor
signed up for the convention yet.
I just got notices that my 25th high school reunion is this august. I may go,
since we really should go down and visit dad.
