You were really smart to go through your Primary Care and not claim
Workers Comp. You will get better care without the associated stress
that comes with Workers Comp. This way you can choose your own doctor
instead of having your care and treatment dictated by someone in
Employee Health.

My retired nurse girlfriend, Bunny, who is helping with my mother, has
terrible arthritis problems inherited from her father. Bunny was a
Med/Surg LVN for many years. She has had more "orthopedic" type
operations related to that than all my other friends put together. She
has had neck surgery along with the other areas. She also had
difficulty determining if her work as a nurse was a cause or just
aggravated a pre-existing condition. Bunny made the mistake of
claiming Workers Comp for her first orthopedic problem (her back) and
regretted it.

no, it's not workers comp. the neurosurgeon didn't seem to think PT would
help, but I think once I see my PMD maybe she would order PT. I think
it's work-related.But if I had this tendency genetically, it's not just
work aggravated.the osteophytes are related to arthritis, I think.

the neurosurgeon was recommended by several people and I did have a good
rapport with him. I need to bring my dad in with me to talk about it some
more.
