Ah. The reason I wanted to contact you was to congratulate you, but it seems
the congratulations are very different now!

That's good. Where're you ending up?

You'll be commuting to S.F. from Marin. Ugh.

Congratulations!

OK, so the company I was working at, Tell_me, was acquired by Macrosoft
in April. (Yes, yet another acquisition.) So, they gave us lots of incentive
to stay there for at least 2 years. Not much has changed so far, other than
really annoying security measures. I still very much enjoy working with speech
recognition stuff. For a while, I was falling into a pattern (working on
grammar compilers written in Perl), but I'll be working on a very different
project now (massive C++ program). So, that keeps life interesting.
Life in where-I-live is pretty mellow, especially in the summer.
