 No Noelle,
Nice to hear from you. Mark did indeed leave his job and NIH, and after
agonizing over the choice between VCU (Richmond, VA) and Albert Einstein
(Bronx, NY) chose VCU. They were in a bidding war over him, so he got a
great deal -- a lot more than I'm making! I'm glad because he's now
only two hours away.
I'm glad to hear you're taking a break from the world of work. I love
my job but am unhappy living in such a small town with so little
opportunity to socialize. But my tenure decision comes in about 18
months, so I want to see how that goes before making any changes.
Tell Robert I said hi!

I'm leaving my job too(after 3 years).I don't have another job lined up, I need
a break.I will be going to Esalen for a yoga weekend and to soak in the hot
springs.Robert's job is going well, though they are making him work more than
usual lately.
Let us know if you will be in the SF Bay Area sometime.
