Re: train to our place.  It's looks like your best best is to take the train
from Davis to the Santa Clara Amtrak station.  (See
http://capitolcorridor.org/schedules/trip_planner/ for the plan.  I stuck in
July 29, arriving at 2:00pm.)  And then use the trip planner from there:

(note that you should set the travel date to "Saturday" rather than "today").

You'll have to climb the stairs up to Tasman Drive and walk east to the light
rail station.  The light rail costs $1.75.

For your return trip, you'll need to leave at either 5:10pm or 6:40pm.  (The
5:10pm trip will be shorter over-all.)

If you don't wanna take the light rail, we could pick you up at and drive you
to the where-I-live Amtrak station.
