capitalism: profitting off pain

I've been realizing that Brian is right: socially responsible investing is
a contradiction in terms.  I've been realizing that the funds that I've
been making money:

Energy Fund
Health Care Fund

and now

Ca Water Systems

and soon

Fidelity Aerospace and Defense Fund

make the most money when people are in pain in some way.

Obviously, there is something wrong with this model.
