Hi, Robert. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but things
have been nuts for me recently.

I have not heard any reports about the LG 1200, but with all of the
phones I've tested and read about, you don't need any sort of extra
modem. The LG 1200 may be different, but all of the phones I know
about are controllable as a usb acm device, using only a data cable to
plug into the phone's data/power jack. You can then use the phone
directly as the modem, with no special hardware necessary. It is
usable under Linux as a serial device that can accept hayes (AT)
commands.

If you try (or already have tried) the instructions I and others list
for known working phones and it doesn't work for you, please let me
know and I'll post up something noting that it doesn't seem
compatible. Or if you find some other method of connecting with this
phone, I'll post that up too.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help...
