Movielens's policy on adding suggested movies

I saw your new "Our policy on adding suggested movies" on http://movielens.umn.edu/suggestion .  I have probably contributed to the problem of "too many movies" with the implication that the Movielens "software will not run effectively".  Some of the movies I have requested to be added, I have never been able to find the movies to see, either on video tape or in local theaters, and therefore could not rate them for the edification of others.

Here's my suggestion: movies which have not been rated at all for 4 weeks after being added should just be deleted.  This way, the total number of movies in Movielens will eventually go down and keep the recommendation system running optimally.
