I found a bug report on the Linux kernel the other day that, when running
this 15-line program, will halt the system. I was convinced that my
system couldn't be affected, so I downloaded the source, compiled it, and
ran it. I was wrong. Halt-o-rama. Pretty scary stuff. So, I'm now not
at all surprised that something like gnome-pilot would crash your system.

I have had a number of problems with my Windows machine, too. Basically,
I've become distrustful of everything at this point.
OTOH, you're right -- my father runs PGP on his Windows computer and he
can decrypt the messages I send to him no-problem.

I could definitely see that. Yesterday, I went to a matinee with a couple
of people from my job-seeking group and the movie was $8! For a matinee!
Sadly, it seems like DVDs may end up being our fate, too -- and not
because we lack time!

I'm not surprised. Remember that scene in Demolition Man when Sandra
Bullock said that the demanded that Schwartzenegger be declared
Supreme-Emporer due to his sheer popularity? OTOH, it could not possibly
be worse than what we have now.

Yeah. I'm tempted to vote Green (I'm a registered Green), but I think
I'd never hear the end of it from Noelle (who personally blamed me for
letting George Bush win ;-).
