I am just so happy to report that despite having taken an incomplete and having spent up until 20 minutes ago rewriting and re-editing a chapter in my field study, I am now officially ready to start summer. Did I tell you that I have accepted a job at UCSF Children's Hospital in the oncology/hematology/bone marrow transplant and rehab unit? I start training July 19. I was there this semester in a clinical and I was so impressed by the nurses and the doctors...everyone seems to work together amazingly well and respect each other - from the assistants to housekeeping all the way up to the attendings. UCSF is supposed to have a very good training program for new grads. I think it will be a good place to start, even though it means a commute and 12 hour shifts and...ugh...night shifts. I am really....really...really ready to get on with my life. You and Robert must see Super Size Me...perhaps you have done so already. If you ever want to see a movie near my house, let me know!
